Composing and Decomposing 2D shapes

We have begun our geometry unit in math. Students have explored 2D and 3D shapes; noticing them in their environment and becoming familiar with their attributes. We have also worked to "compose" and "decompose" shapes. For example, two squares = rectangle, 2 trapezoids = hexagon, and many triangles can be combined to make a larger triangle.
