We have been playing lots of games to help us practice a variety of strategies to add and subtract.
This is the "Double UP" game...helping us learn our doubles facts.

Spin and Add

Math Fractions

During number corner this month, we are learning about wholes, halves and fourths. Students experimented with dividing paper "cookies" and "sandwiches".

Small Moments Writing

During writer's workshop students chose a story to write about and practiced telling their story out loud to a friend. Then, they illustrated a planning sheet with the most important parts of the beginning, middle and end of their story.
